Is Lynx free?
Yes. The free version handles direct files at full speed, saves video up to 1080p and cuts short clips — with no time limit and no ads. Pro adds 4K and 8K, unlimited clips in every shape, playlists, subtitles and all of Lynx Notch. New installs get every Pro feature free for 14 days.
What can it download?
Any direct link to a file — installers, archives, disk images, documents — split across up to 16 connections. Big downloads you start in Chrome, Edge, Brave or Arc go to Lynx on their own. And video and audio from most pages that play it in your browser. Lynx doesn’t get around copy protection (DRM), so it can’t save from streaming services that use it. Download only what you have the right to.
Does it work on Windows?
The Mac version is out now. Windows is in the works — leave your email and we’ll tell you the day it ships. One Pro licence will cover both.
Do my downloads go through your servers?
No. Lynx downloads on your computer, over your own connection. We never see what you save or watch, and you don’t need an account.
What happens after the free trial?
Lynx keeps working as the free version — nothing you downloaded is touched. Buy Pro any time to get the Pro features back. You are never charged automatically for the trial.
